India Pursuing State‑Sponsored Terrorism Against Pakistan as Official Policy: DG ISPR

In a strongly worded press briefing from Rawalpindi, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, accused India of adopting state-sponsored terrorism as an official policy to destabilize Pakistan. He unveiled alleged evidence linking Indian military officers to a series of terror attacks on Pakistani soil, asserting that terrorism against Pakistan is being actively orchestrated and executed by Indian state actors.

Lt Gen Sharif revealed the arrest of a suspect, Abdul Majeed, from Jhelum on April 25, who was found in possession of a 2.5 kg improvised explosive device (IED), Indian-manufactured drones, mobile phones, and over one million rupees in cash. He claimed that forensic investigations and digital tracing confirmed that Majeed had been receiving instructions from serving Indian army officers, including Major Sandeep Verma, Subedar Sukhvinder, and Havildar Amit.

According to DG ISPR, these Indian officers were not only directing cross-border terror operations but were also selecting civilian targets such as school buses, public transport hubs, and market areas to inflict maximum casualties and chaos. Audio and digital evidence presented during the briefing reportedly detailed drone routes, IED deployment instructions, and real-time communications between the handlers and operatives.

He further disclosed that India is using fabricated terror outfits such as “Fitna-al-Hindustan” and “Fitna-al-Khawarij” as proxies to carry out attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These groups are allegedly involved in a campaign of targeted killings, sabotage of development projects, and psychological warfare aimed at derailing Pakistan’s internal stability.

The Pakistani military spokesperson emphasized that more than 200 terrorists had been eliminated in Balochistan this year, highlighting the state’s robust counterterrorism capabilities. Despite India’s alleged attempts to exploit regional vulnerabilities, he affirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain in full control and committed to peace through strength.

In addition, the DG ISPR warned of Indian-backed digital campaigns that amplify extremist ideologies and glorify terrorism on social media platforms. He accused Indian media outlets of pushing a narrative of misinformation and deflection to cover state complicity in these covert operations.

Pakistan has reiterated its demand for international accountability, urging global powers and human rights organizations to examine the evidence and condemn India’s alleged actions. While Islamabad remains open to peaceful dialogue, the armed forces have vowed to retaliate decisively against any aggression.
