Five Pakistani Umrah Pilgrims Killed – A tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia has claimed the lives of five Pakistani Umrah pilgrims, including three women, while several others sustained injuries. The incident occurred as the pilgrims were traveling from the historic site of Badr to Madinah.
Victims Identified
The deceased hail from the Bahawalnagar district of Punjab, Pakistan. Among them were Rukhsana Bibi and Amina Bibi from Fort Abbas, two women from Dahran Wala, and an elderly man, Manzoor Hussain, from 39/3-R.

Injured Pilgrims Receiving Treatment
Several injured individuals are receiving medical care at hospitals in Madinah. Four, including two women, are being treated at the Saudi-German Hospital, while three others, also including two women, are at King Fahd Hospital. Another woman is under care at King Salman Hospital.
Official Response and Support
Pakistan’s Consul General in Jeddah, Khalid Majeed, confirmed that the consulate is assisting the injured and coordinating with the Umrah sponsoring company. No Objection Certificates (NOCs) have been issued for the burial of three victims in Saudi Arabia.
This incident underscores the need for stringent safety measures for pilgrims traveling within Saudi Arabia.
