Karachi – The Government of Pakistan has officially announced the commencement of the Hajj 2025 flight operation starting April 29, 2025, with the first flight (ER 1611) departing from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi to Madinah Munawwarah at 10:15 PM, carrying 285 pilgrims.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the complete flight schedule has been approved and is accessible via the Pak Hajj mobile application. Initially, all flights will land at Madinah Airport, and from May 14, flights will begin landing at Jeddah Airport.
Under the Government Hajj Scheme, approximately 90,000 Pakistani pilgrims are expected to perform Hajj this year. Five airlines, including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), will participate in the operation.
PIA Hajj Flight Operations
PIA will operate 280 special pre-Hajj flights from April 29 to June 1, using Boeing 777 and Airbus A320 aircraft. The post-Hajj operation will continue from June 12 to July 10, ensuring the safe return of pilgrims.
Special arrangements are being made to provide a comfortable and secure journey. According to PIA officials, efforts are underway to avoid delays and provide timely services throughout the Hajj season.
Vaccination and Training Requirements
All pilgrims must receive mandatory vaccinations at designated Haji camps at least ten days before departure. The second phase of Hajj training begins on April 8.
Required vaccines include:
- Meningococcal Meningitis
- Poliomyelitis (Polio)
- Seasonal Influenza
The Saudi Arabian government has emphasized strict compliance with health protocols, making the meningitis vaccine mandatory for all pilgrims.
Reduced Hajj Package Prices
The government has announced a reduction in Hajj package prices for 2025:
- 40-day package: Rs. 1,050,000
- 25-day short package: Rs. 1,100,000
This reduction aims to ease the financial burden on pilgrims and promote wider accessibility.
Digital Support & Coordination
Pilgrims are encouraged to utilize the Pak Hajj App for flight schedules, vaccination details, and other essential updates. Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousuf confirmed that coordination with Saudi authorities is ongoing to ensure seamless logistics and services.
