awalpindi/Islamabad, April 9, 2025 — An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has extended the interim bail of Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, in 31 cases related to the November 26 protests. Presided over by Judge Amjad Ali Shah, the court has prolonged her bail until April 29.
In addition to Bushra Bibi, the court extended interim bails for PTI leaders Azam Swati, Naeem Panjutha, Mishal Yousafzai, and Sanam Javed until April 15. PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja’s bail was extended until April 21 in cases associated with the October 5 protests.
The court has directed Bushra Bibi to participate in investigations concerning First Information Reports (FIRs) filed in Attock. It instructed that her interrogation should occur in the presence of her husband, Imran Khan, and her legal counsel.
During the proceedings, the investigation team reported that Bushra Bibi had already cooperated with inquiries in Rawalpindi district cases, but the investigation remains incomplete. The court has ordered investigators to finalize their inquiry and submit a report by the next hearing.
In a related development in Islamabad, ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra granted interim bail to PTI leader Omar Ayub in eight separate FIRs linked to the November 26 protests. The court has restrained police from arresting him until April 29 and directed him to cooperate with the investigations.
