“It is when things are at their worst that Allah will raise the best generation. The generation that the Prophet would be told Sahabat should look up to. So maybe the fact that you are living in the darkest of time means that Allah thinks you can be the strongest source of light.
“جب حالات بدترین ہوتے ہیں تو اللہ بہترین نسل پیدا کرے گا۔ جس نسل کو نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی صحبت بتائی جائے گی اسے دیکھنا چاہیے۔ تو شاید اس حقیقت کا کہ آپ اندھیرے وقت میں رہ رہے ہیں اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ اللہ سمجھتا ہے کہ آپ روشنی کا سب سے مضبوط ذریعہ ہو سکتے ہیں۔
You do what you gotta do. You gotta focus.”
تم وہ کرو جو تمہیں کرنا ہے۔ آپ کو توجہ مرکوز کرنی ہوگی۔”
“The real dawah to Islam is the character of a Muslim.”
”اسلام کی اصل دعوت مسلمان کا کردار ہے۔”
“What you desire is what you want, what you have is what Allah wants.”
جو تم چاہتے ہو وہی ہے جو تم چاہتے ہو، جو تمہارے پاس ہے وہی اللہ چاہتا ہے۔‘‘
“When you help people, don’t wait around to hear them say, “Thank you.” A lot of times we do good things, but in the back of our mind we’re hoping to get some appreciation. But if you make your intentions pure, and you expect only from Allah, He will take more care of you than you could ever imagine.”
جب آپ لوگوں کی مدد کرتے ہیں، تو ان کی بات سننے کا انتظار نہ کریں، “آپ کا شکریہ۔” اکثر ہم اچھی چیزیں کرتے ہیں، لیکن اپنے دماغ کے پیچھے ہم کچھ تعریف حاصل کرنے کی امید کر رہے ہیں۔ لیکن اگر آپ اپنے ارادوں کو خالص کرتے ہیں، اور آپ صرف اللہ سے امید رکھتے ہیں، تو وہ آپ کا اس سے زیادہ خیال رکھے گا جتنا آپ سوچ بھی نہیں سکتے تھے۔”
”Some of the toughest ayaat in the Quran have Allah’s name “ar-Rahman” in them to make it clear
that just because Allah is the Most Merciful, it doesn’t mean He’s not going to carry out justice.”
قرآن مجید کی بعض سخت ترین آیات میں اللہ کا نام “الرحمن” ہے تاکہ یہ واضح ہو جائے کہ صرف اس لیے کہ اللہ رحمٰن ہے، اس کا یہ مطلب نہیں کہ وہ انصاف نہیں کرے گا۔”
“We live in a society where we wake up our kids for schools but not for Fajr.”
ہم ایک ایسے معاشرے میں رہتے ہیں جہاں ہم اپنے بچوں کو اسکول کے لیے جگاتے ہیں لیکن فجر کے لیے نہیں‘‘۔
“When you pay attention to the Quran, you discover that it can only be from Allah. It becomes clearer and clearer to you that it cannot be from a human being. But many people don’t perceive the Quran this way because Allah doesn’t open its doors to people who do not pay attention.”
جب آپ قرآن پر توجہ دیتے ہیں تو آپ کو معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ یہ صرف اللہ کی طرف سے ہو سکتا ہے۔ یہ آپ پر واضح اور واضح ہو جاتا ہے کہ یہ کسی انسان کی طرف سے نہیں ہو سکتا۔ لیکن بہت سے لوگ قرآن کو اس طرح نہیں سمجھتے کیونکہ اللہ ان لوگوں کے لیے اپنے دروازے نہیں کھولتا جو توجہ نہیں دیتے۔
“Forgiving someone isn’t just about doing good to another. It’s also about healing a scar in your own heart.”
کسی کو معاف کرنا صرف دوسرے کے ساتھ اچھا کرنا نہیں ہے۔ یہ آپ کے اپنے دل کے داغ کو ٹھیک کرنے کے بارے میں بھی ہے۔”
“The first thing I would like to share with you
here is that when you help people, you don’t wait
around until they say thank you because you didn’t
help them so you can hear appreciation.”
“پہلی چیز جو میں آپ کے ساتھ شیئر کرنا چاہوں گا۔
یہ ہے جب آپ لوگوں کی مدد کرتے ہیں تو آپ انتظار نہیں کرتے
جب تک کہ وہ آپ کا شکریہ ادا نہ کریں کیونکہ آپ نے ایسا نہیں کیا۔
ان کی مدد کریں تاکہ آپ تعریف سن سکیں۔
“How many people must there be, who are completely unknown in this world, but they are famous in the sky.”
There are people on this earth who may seem insignificant to you and me. But they are beloved to Allah and their name is constantly mentioned among the angels in the sky.”
’’کتنے ہی لوگ ہوں گے جو اس دنیا میں بالکل نا معلوم ہیں لیکن آسمان پر مشہور ہیں۔‘‘
اس زمین پر ایسے لوگ بھی ہیں جو آپ اور میرے لیے معمولی معلوم ہوتے ہیں۔ لیکن وہ اللہ کو پیارے ہیں اور آسمان کے فرشتوں میں ان کا نام مسلسل آتا ہے۔
“The word Ilaah means something that deserves to be worshiped AND obeyed at the same time. It is not enough to worship Allah through rituals. We have to give His obedience precedence over our desires in every situation of our life.”
لفظ الٰہ کا مطلب ہے وہ چیز جو بیک وقت عبادت اور اطاعت کے لائق ہو۔ عبادات کے ذریعے اللہ کی عبادت کرنا کافی نہیں ہے۔ ہمیں اپنی زندگی کے ہر حال میں اس کی اطاعت کو اپنی خواہشات پر فوقیت دینی ہے۔
“The definition of Ar-Rahman: The fact that we only take from Allah and He only gives; we never thank but He still gives; we rarely remember Him but He still increases in love for us.”
رحمن کی تعریف: یہ حقیقت کہ ہم صرف اللہ سے لیتے ہیں اور وہی دیتا ہے۔ ہم کبھی شکر نہیں کرتے لیکن وہ پھر بھی دیتا ہے۔ ہم اسے کم ہی یاد کرتے ہیں لیکن وہ پھر بھی ہم سے محبت میں اضافہ کرتا ہے۔
“People run after respect in this world. We think respect will come from our money, car, the brand of our clothing, and the connections we have with powerful people. Dignity and respect will only come when we take Allah as our teacher.”
“لوگ اس دنیا میں عزت کے پیچھے بھاگتے ہیں۔ ہمیں لگتا ہے کہ عزت ہمارے پیسے، کار، ہمارے لباس کے برانڈ اور طاقتور لوگوں کے ساتھ ہمارے روابط سے آئے گی۔ عزت اور عزت تب ہی ملے گی جب ہم اللہ کو اپنا استاد مانیں گے۔
“A time when morality will keep shifting, you need something that stands straight and can stay in place.”
“ایک ایسا وقت جب اخلاقیات بدلتے رہیں گے، آپ کو کسی ایسی چیز کی ضرورت ہے جو سیدھی ہو اور اپنی جگہ پر قائم رہ سکے۔”
“You can’t master the Quran, it masters you.”
“آپ قرآن پر عبور حاصل نہیں کر سکتے، یہ آپ پر عبور رکھتا ہے۔
“So we have to internalize a very powerful reality that Allah has given us. We treasure all of our relationships so long as, they are something that is building us towards the akhirah (the afterlife). So I want to leave you with this picture, what Allah has in His possession is better.”
“لہذا ہمیں ایک بہت ہی طاقتور حقیقت کو داخل کرنا ہوگا جو اللہ نے ہمیں دیا ہے۔ ہم اپنے تمام رشتوں کو اس وقت تک اہمیت دیتے ہیں جب تک کہ وہ ایک ایسی چیز ہے جو ہمیں آخرت (آخرت کی زندگی) کی طرف بڑھا رہی ہے۔ اس لیے میں آپ کے پاس یہ تصویر چھوڑنا چاہتا ہوں، جو اللہ کے پاس ہے وہ بہتر ہے۔‘‘
”When ignorance is passed down for a long time without giving it a second thought, it leads to evil because you are doing it without knowledge.”
“جب جہالت ایک طویل عرصے تک بغیر سوچے سمجھے گزر جاتی ہے، تو یہ برائی کی طرف لے جاتی ہے کیونکہ تم بغیر علم کے کر رہے ہو۔
“To Allah there’s no difference between salah and iman.”
’’اللہ کے نزدیک نماز اور ایمان میں کوئی فرق نہیں ہے۔
“Appreciate what Allah has given you, then Allah will take care of you!”
“اللہ نے جو دیا ہے اس کی قدر کرو، اللہ تمہارا خیال رکھے گا
“We have certain practices that have nothing to do with Islam today. And we consider them staple parts without questioning whether they are really part of the deen or not.”
“ہمارے پاس کچھ رسمیں ہیں جن کا آج اسلام سے کوئی تعلق نہیں ہے۔ اور ہم ان کو بنیادی حصہ سمجھتے ہیں اس سوال کے بغیر کہ آیا وہ واقعی دین کا حصہ ہیں یا نہیں۔
“My Master, no doubt about it, whatever good you have sent down my way, whatever you have descended—sent down towards me—of any kind of good; no doubt about it, I am desperately in need of it’.”
’’میرے آقا، اس میں کوئی شک نہیں، آپ نے جو کچھ بھی میرے راستے پر نازل کیا ہے، جو کچھ آپ نے نازل کیا ہے، جو کچھ بھی میری طرف اتارا ہے، ہر قسم کی بھلائی ہے۔ اس میں کوئی شک نہیں، مجھے اس کی سخت ضرورت ہے۔‘‘
“Not letting our mood affect the way we treat people is a forgotten Sunnah.”
“لوگوں کے ساتھ ہمارے مزاج پر اثر انداز نہ ہونے دینا ایک بھولی ہوئی سنت ہے۔
“When people are offering you help, that might be from Allah, that might be the answer to your duʿā’.”
“جب لوگ آپ کو مدد کی پیشکش کرتے ہیں، تو یہ اللہ کی طرف سے ہوسکتا ہے، یہ آپ کی دعا کا جواب ہوسکتا ہے
“When you don’t appreciate a daughter, it’s like you’re not appreciating your own mother, that’s where you came from.”
“جب آپ کسی بیٹی کی قدر نہیں کرتے، تو ایسا لگتا ہے کہ آپ اپنی ماں کی تعریف نہیں کر رہے ہیں، یہیں سے آپ آئے ہیں۔
”What is between this Master of ours and us? The thing that ties us together, the thing that gives us a relationship is actually duʿā’, itself.”
“ہمارے اور اس مالک کے درمیان کیا ہے؟ وہ چیز جو ہمیں آپس میں جوڑتی ہے، وہ چیز جو ہمیں رشتہ دیتی ہے وہ دراصل دعا ہی ہے۔
“None of us gives up on the other one. None of us says about the other one”
“ہم میں سے کوئی بھی دوسرے سے دستبردار نہیں ہوتا ہے۔ ہم میں سے کوئی بھی دوسرے کے بارے میں نہیں کہتا
“Don’t just wear your faith on your sleeve. Don’t just call yourself a Muslim and not represent any of its teachings. You’re not going to get away with that. This faith of ours isn’t just a declaration, it has to be a lifestyle choice.”
“صرف اپنے ایمان کو اپنی آستین پر مت پہنو۔ صرف اپنے آپ کو مسلمان نہ کہو اور اس کی کسی تعلیم کی نمائندگی نہ کرو۔ آپ اس سے دور نہیں ہونے والے ہیں۔ ہمارا یہ عقیدہ محض ایک اعلان نہیں ہے، اسے طرز زندگی کا انتخاب ہونا چاہیے۔
