Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar, presented the prestigious Hilal‑e‑Quaid‑e‑Azam Award to Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), during an official ceremony in Abu Dhabi.
The award, conferred on behalf of the President of Pakistan, recognises Al Suwaidi’s exceptional efforts in strengthening Pakistan–UAE relations, particularly through ADFD’s vital support of development projects across Pakistan.
Senator Dar thanked ADFD for its sustained assistance and lauded Al Suwaidi’s leadership. In response, Al Suwaidi expressed gratitude for the honour and reaffirmed the Fund’s dedication to deepening economic cooperation and promoting mutual growth.
Significance of the Award
- The Hilal‑e‑Quaid‑e‑Azam is one of the highest civilian awards Pakistan can confer on foreign nationals, recognizing impactful contributions to bilateral ties. Previous recipients include notable figures such as Fu Zhiheng and members of Gulf leadership.
